Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Resort Village of Melville Beach intents to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007, to amend Bylaw No. 3-2016, known as The Zoning Bylaw.
The proposed bylaw will amend the regulations for fence and hedge heights, define grade level, define retaining wall and will move temporary garages from a prohibited use to a discretionary use.
All properties located within the Residential District (R1) at the Resort Village of Melville Beach may be affected.
The reason for the amendment is to provide clarity to the fence and hedge heights located within the Residential District (R1), provide clarity on the definition of grade level and retaining walls and allow Council the authority to approve the use of temporary garages in a Residential District (R1).

Council will hold a public hearing on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at 578 4th Avenue West, Melville, SK, to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw. Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned at the Resort Village office before the hearing.
